Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how WesternHills Global Services ("we", "us"), the operator of CreatorOS Africa, collects, uses and protects personal data. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
1. Data we collect from creators
- Account details: name, email address, password (stored securely, never in plain text) or sign in provider details.
- Profile and store details: display name, store link, support email and brand settings.
- Payout details: bank name, account number and account name, sent to Paystack to create your payout subaccount.
- Content you create: product inputs, AI generated drafts, uploaded files, cover images and sales pages.
- Billing records: plan, subscription payments, unlock purchases and usage counts for AI and ad image tools.
- Preferences such as light or dark theme.
2. Data we collect from buyers
- Email address and, if you enter it, your name.
- Order details: product, amount, date and payment reference.
- Download activity on your private link, to enforce expiry and download limits.
We never see or store your card number, PIN or bank login. Paystack handles all payment details.
3. Data collected automatically
- Anonymous sales page activity: page views, checkout starts and the referring source (for example Facebook or WhatsApp). This is not tied to your name or email.
- Basic technical data such as browser type and error reports, used to keep the Platform working.
- Small browser storage items for login sessions, theme choice and dismissed banners.
- Meta Pixel advertising cookies: we share page views and signups on creatoros.africa with Meta Platforms to measure and improve our ads. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland this only runs if you accept the cookie notice. You can decline or withdraw anytime from Cookie settings at the bottom of our pages, or by emailing support@creatoros.africa.
- Creator tracking pixels: creators may add their own Meta, Google Ads or TikTok pixel to their product pages. When you view a product, start checkout or complete a purchase, the product name, price and currency are shared with that platform so the creator can measure their ads. Your email and payment details are not shared. The same cookie consent and withdrawal options apply.
4. How we use data
- To run accounts, build and host products, and publish sales pages.
- To process payments, route sale money to creators and verify every payment.
- To deliver products and send receipts, download links, sale alerts and account emails.
- To show creators their sales, customers and analytics.
- To enforce plan limits, prevent fraud and keep the Platform secure.
- To answer support requests sent through the contact page or help bubble.
Our lawful bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running a secure service, and legal obligations such as keeping financial records.
5. Who we share data with
- The seller you bought from: your name, email and order details, so they can support you and handle refunds.
- Paystack: payment processing and creator payouts.
- Our email delivery provider: sending receipts and account emails.
- Our hosting, database and AI providers: storing data and generating content you request. Product inputs you submit to AI tools are processed only to produce your result.
- Authorities, where required by law.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers store or process data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we rely on providers with appropriate security and contractual protections.
7. How long we keep data
- Account and product data: while your account is open, and removed after closure unless needed for the reasons below.
- Order and payment records: up to seven years, for accounting, tax and dispute handling.
- Anonymous analytics: kept indefinitely, as it cannot identify you.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections, access controls that limit each creator to their own data, server side payment verification, and private, expiring download links. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify affected users of serious breaches as the law requires.
9. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to certain uses, or withdraw consent. Creators can update most details in Settings. For anything else, email us from the address linked to your account or order. We respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
10. Children
The Platform is not meant for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell creators by email about important changes.
12. Contact
Email support@creatoros.africa for privacy questions or deletion requests.
